evertVB, I believe we both made a mistake.
Your move 31...f6-j2 was not legal because it puts your king in check (my bishop has the queen's abilities).
So I don't think I got another queen (a8=Q) nor the moves after that.
I think the best thing to do is for you to make a different move at 31. Let me know if you agree.

I agree, and it's time to resign for me.

Next time I play with a builder, I would aim for centralizing it and creating a formation where some group of pieces has an enormous influence on the center. There still is something I like about this piece.

I didn't like the fool in this game. It simply destroyed all possibilities for normal pawn development.

OK, thanks for the strong battle and unexpected counter-play. The Builder is a great piece. But it was out of place when two whole ranks were kept clean by the fool. It felt like we could shoot pawns across the board like crossbow bolts.

The builder deserves to be played again, and I'll keep it in my collection of good and interesting pieces definitely to be played again! happy.png
