How do you play chess 960 on chess.com?

hi, I found an option to play correspondence 960 chess, but can u play it live as well?

Not yet. They're working on it.

It's under game options.  There's a rolldown menu that says standard chess until you click the little arrow and it changes to chess 960.

Home>online chess>start new game

Playing live would be the exciting thing.

               Follow dog's advice. There's also a group just for 960.

Brainpower. Look at the board & move the chess-pieces accordingly.

You will not want to play it "live" as have to think deeply.

I'm getting an error saying that I can't start a Chess 960 game because my low and high ratings don't have a wide enough spread. I never set any preferences in my profile. I don't know how to fix this. I just want to play correspondence 960 chess. please help!

It may be early days, but perhaps after six or so years of 'working on it', chess.com has figured out how to let us play 960 live chess?

On website:

"play > live chess" -> button with chessboard or
"play > play" -> custom game -> button with chessboard

I can only start a game of chess960 with my friends only?

You can now

Just click play on your main menu and select more and tap custom and change the game settings to Chess960.

Maybe,I'm stupid,but i can't find chess-960 option ,when I use button play->more

On iOS app:

Play > More > Custom > Type > select Chess960
