Live Chess Variants

Hey guys, I was just wondering on the new variants that chess.com staff was implementing on Live Chess. I believe they are working on Chess960 and Bughouse (don't know where I heard that), and hopefully they have more ideas. I just wanted to know some other chess variants that are really fun that you may have played on other sites or just invented. If you could please explain the starting position and objective of the variant, as well as other rules, I'd really appreciate that! Thanks for your time!

Yes. Bughouse is currently being worked on. I will pay for membership for a lifetime if they manage to implement this on live. I think it is like $500 at least, but it would be so worth it.

I don't believe so. You can play suicide chess using against other people, but only on an analysis board, you just have to misplace the kings somewhere distant on the baord if they get captured . Since you are a regular member, time will tell. Just wait.

Oh i forgot to mention, you can try blindfold chess on live too. It's just that , there has to be mutual co-operation, otherwise it may be a disaster.

You could also play three checks live or online, if you both agree to resign when you're checked the third time.

blindfold chess... nice. I imagine one would want video confirmation.... or it could be all vocal/typed in.

Also, is chess960 coming (live)? I have heard about this rumor for years now. I would like to play a few games live (on chess.com). Anyone with inside knowledge to this?

Well, if they were working on it, and it would not be ready tomorrow... How hard could they be 'working on it' then?

If they managed to make that I would probably get a lot better at chess so I can become a titled player and get a free life time membership!
