Looking for Omega Chess set

I'm interested in acquiring a set of Omega Chess (explained here: http://www.omegachess.com/).  But I can't find a set for sale anywhere!  I emailed the original maker and a reseller, but haven't gotten any responses after several days.  If anybody has a set they'd be willing to part with, or knows where I can get one, please let me know.

That's the first time I've heard of it. Like chess isn't complicated enough. Google it.

"Google it." Undecided

Like I said, I've already searched all over the web, including eBay.  I can't find a set anywhere.  Googling it any more isn't going to help.

been looking on the site and the game looks awesome! Also nice explanation about the rules and many other aspects of the game.

haha I know why. Nothing weird about it.

Looks kinda defunct. Must be boards and pieces lying around in peoples' cupboards, assuming any copies were ever sold.

I did find one possibly useful software link: I know software's not a set and don't know if it allows two players or not (it's Windows, and I'm not running Windows):

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows-Widgets/Widget-Games/Omega-Chess.shtml

Maybe you could wrangle a substitute by marking up a vinyl board with the extra squares and starting the outermost pieces off the board, and use pieces from a different set (or coloured or something) to make up the extras.

It looks interesting. Not sure if I'd like it or not. If there were an online version I might try it out. One Of These Days I'm going to see what it takes to put an online site together for stuff like this. Not to challenge chess.com and other for-pay sites, but just for informal games and as a "bring my web skills up to date" project. "One day" along with keeping up with my day job, trying to improve my regular chess, oh, and on the side, I have this ridiculous ambition to have a life as well. :-/

After tons of searching I finally found it on boardgamegeek. It's one of my most favorite games to play!

All of the links found in these threads are circular: they link back here, only for this one to link back there...

Now, if anyone is still interested in an Omega chess set, I maybe able to sell a luxurious one to you for a non-cheap (heh) price. Please PM me to discuss.

Or just have them 3d printed for cheap. You'll just have to research where to go to do that. Not never hard to do. That way you can have what ever you desire as well. We even can 3D print wood now.

I think you know that that is a given for anything, Chess or otherwise.

Any other threads where I'm the last to reply that you'd like to create trouble over?

What?.....You are giving me crap. For helping dude with the best way for fixing his issue?!....lol. He will do want he wants. Do not give me crap over giving him options.

How often do you reply to my post in threads.....Soley to be asinine. Where as I am giving info. You just start trouble.
Can you quit your hypocrisy, or must I just ignore you as you have been me. Addressing what you want, while ignoring what is said. I think I will do just that. Thanks for the idea. I'll just mimic you, till you can see the hypocrisy. I know you are smart enough to see it. Even if you are too childish, to admit it.

Ace, time for you to cut it out.

And, seriously, Mr. 40-year-old man, grow up.

I have created a playable version of Omega Chess advanced on Steams 'Tabletop Simulator' costs 14.99gbp but cheaper than the sets and boards were. Nobody plays the Advanced rules anymore, which made the game zing! Please visit my blog at ocadvanced.blogspot.co.uk or look on Steam for my game.

I did run a site called Omegachess.org.uk which has now closed despite close and friendly relations with the inventors economics killed the game. Anyone one wanting a game or instruction join me on steam.

Are you selling the game on Steam?

p. s. Are you Dan MacDonald, the creator of Omega Chess, by any chance? =)
