A bug has just surfaced. Step 5 above doesn't work properly all the time. So, a bit of a setback .
Minor breakthrough in file conversion

Came here thinking you've found some great method of converting open files into wins... was disappointed...
I have downloaded XieXieMaster 2.5. ( XXM2.5) However, there are no game scores available from any XQ websites which can be directly opened in XXM 2.5. After a lot of trial and error, I have managed to find the way to convert some XQ game scores to a format compatible with XXM2.5. Here are the steps :
I. Opening XQ wizard ( in Chinese and so presents some problems to lots of fellow members ). Choose a game and displace the move list in ICCS format ( 1. H2-F2 H9-G7 1. H0-G2 I9-H9 etc. )
2. save the game score in ICCS format in a text file ( say, Game1.txt )
3. Copy the contents to excel and transform the moves to coord text file format ( h2f2 /h9g7/h0g2/i9h9 etc. )
4. Copy the results back to Game1.txt and erase the source values.
5. Open XXM2.5 and then open Game1.txt, loading the game involved.
6. Save the game score in the wxf format.
Quite laborious, to say the least. Hopefully, someone with far greater programming skills or more advanced software would suggest some ways to simplify the whole process.
SInce I have a considerable depot of games which can be converted into this format, I recommend you to download XIeXieMaster 2.5 . I will release more and more game scores ( hopefully some quality games ) in the wxf format for you to peruse.
