My idea is to make a small change in a rule of chess to give black more leeway for development in the opening, to slightly offset white's first move advantage. This rule change opens new lines to explore in chess opening theory. The change applies to the rule that says a king may not castle out of check. The rule is changed to allow black, but not white, to castle out of check.
