I've saved my game. I'd start a new one, but I'm afraid the same thing might happen again. 

You can save the game by pressing ctrl-s.

i'm machine white connected to 123456c. "b" was closed.

file tab has it too.

can't load after hitting machine white. So I loaded then hit machine white. I think you must load then move. What was the last move on your save

my saves last move was my bishop taking the queen.

If the same you should be able to connect then load, then move(I would think)

My internet connection seems to be unreliable today.

um....So what's the verdict?

No biggy. It happens. We will just have to try anouther time. I'm goiing to take a nap.

I think we need to wait until we figure out how to resume a game. I'm sure we'll be able to play sometime. 

I did enjoy the game as far as it went. It's a good one.

When we do resume, if we can't find any other way, we could simply replay the game as it occurred.

I'll be on for about an hour or two this evening.

In theory it should be possible to resume a game if you go to exactly the same position. If you both saved the game, one might contain one extra move compared to the other (which was never transmitted because of the disconnect). So you would have to agree what position you want to go to, use WinBoard to load the game, putting it in Edit Game mode to step to the desired position, and use Edit->Truncate Game there, to put you back in sync, and then try to start a game by the one not being on move pressing Machine White/Black. The person that does have the move can then make one move in Edit Game mode, and press Machine Black/White.

I would like to add that the boot might have messed the server up. I can connect to a pass but can not with myself. As if both boards had a different passcode. Winboard never sends a request to the other winboard. Battlechess could not even connect.  Also it never says connected & waiting for player with the same pass. To tell I was connected. I had to hit connect twice. Which made a message pop up saying, You are already connected. Was curious if maybe it needed to be reset? I just tested it again, same thing.
