Omega chess online?

Hello,

I am a casual chess player who loves to play chess regularly. I purchased an Omega Chess set back in 2010 and it has since become my favorite version of chess. I have also collected several of the Musketeer chess pieces as well which I will use interchangeable with standard chess or omega chess. My friend and I play a lot of chess against each other on the chess app but I have recently gotten him into omega chess. The only way we are able to play online that I have found is through chessbyemail.com. It's not bad but it would be nice to have something that is structured a little better. Does anyone know of any websites that have it?

It would be easy for me to set up a turn-based server similar to this one for Omega Chess. There would be no people, of course; you could only play there 'by appointment' with a prospective opponent. I am not sure this is legal, though: Omega Chess is a commercial variant, and I don't know if it is covered by patents.

Hi, I was going to ask about these games being "commercial variants". Does that mean I could not create a board for that game and sell it on Etsy?

I'm sorry if the question is not appropriate (this is my first question on this board), and I was more interested on creating custom boards to sell as craft. Omega Chess really caught my eye (both in terms of the game as well as in the idea of creating custom boards.)
