Omega Chess is easy to find the rules of, it has its own webpage. Strategically, Omega Chess is harder to over-theorise (or however you'd phrase it), with more strategic ideas, a better balance of strong and weak pieces, and longer phases of the game when played properly compared to chess.
Omega chess
My favourite 10x10 Variant is Opulent Chess, but outside of Game Courier, ChessV and Zillions of Games finding a way of playing would be extremely difficult.
Also, Omega Chess has 4 corner squares, so it's more than 10x10.
I think there is an American chess organization that sells Omega Chess sets, but i'm not sure.
Has anyone tried playing Omega chess with the 2 Seirawan pieces (Hawk & Elephant) added? Wow, I think it plays much better! :-)
If you liked Omega chess, check out this variant - Cerebral (edema) Chess.
Cerebral Chess has better balance & complexity.
The changes from Omega Chess:
Knighting the Queen = Amazon Queen (Dragon)
Knighting the Bishop & Rook (Hawk & Elephant) off board
Crowning the Bishop & Rook (Archbishop & Fortress)
Replacing the Knight for a Leopard
Replacing the Champion for a Cannon
Replacing the Wizard for a Unicorn
Changed castling
This link will bring you to my forum post, where you'll see links to a poster, photos, and the online version (still needs a few tweaks, but playable).

Now that the subject pops up, I've opened a seek for Omega chess on the chessvariants page:

I have no clue what you guys are on about but the draught board and extra pieces is a good idea.
