1. I said SERIES of books.
2. He may not call it his magnum opus, but it has been called that in a review for the series.

Okay, I will ask @vickalan to set us up (or I may do it if he is busy).
The answer is The Dark Tower. It is 8 books long (originally 7).
Yes of course. I plan to periodically post news about finished games. Since my last update, captaintugwash did have a win (here) which I'll add to the scorecard soon. Also, the craftsmen are almost finished fabricating the crown to be awarded to the winner of the first-ever championship game in infinite chess. The game is at move 21 and appears to be a tactical fight for the center (game is here). One spy photo of the crown has been leaked to the public, and is shown here:
If PxP challenges and loses against the Champion, then he can't challenge the Champion again until he does something to prove that he has improved since his loss.
Basically a contender can't lose and then just make a challenge again. He would need to play against someone else, win (improving his score), and then he can challenge again.
I'm not sure what the field would look like at that possible future point. If there are many eligible contenders, then the player who has the right to challenge is based on a priority system, which is basically the eligible player with the best score.
Also, the pic above with a partial view of the crown is the only known photo of the crown being worked on. The craftsmen are much more secretive than Santa's elves, and there's rumors that the spy who leaked the photo has been captured and punished.😛
I'm moving house in a week or so, therefore it's probably best to wait until I've got internet hooked up there to avoid any delays before I start my game with pixel.
Captain "tug": hope your move goes smoothly. Your game is (here) so you can find it easily when you're done moving.😊
@hitthepin and @aidanB1: A new game - awesome! Usually the player who first asks for a game plays Black, so hitthepin plays White. You game is (here). Remember, I can usually only post a board about once per day. Players can post moves without seeing the board, but they do so at their own detriment. Have fun and good luck to both players!😃
I mean if I'm going to be serious, then obviously it's the Shining, but we all know Kubric is the one who claims that as magnum opus.
