Voldétour

I've recently bought this game and it's very amusing.

It's more or less chess-like, 3D. You need to build a road to the opponent's tower, or prevent your opponent from doing that to you.

I don't see an image with your post, but I googled "voldetour board game" and one site comes up:

It does look interesting. Probably really fun for people who enjoy games with a 3D aspect (building things upward from the 2D plane).happy.png

I've replaced the image with one from a game against my son (which he won cry.png)

Summary of the rules:

You start with your King on your Tower, in your turn you can do at least one out of 3 things:

Play one of your own stairs

Play one of your own blocks

Walk with your King max 3 steps (where stairs are used to change levels and don't count as a step - and it is allowed to change direction.)

You can first play a block and then play a stair, but walking with your King is always the last action of your turn.

Stairs and blocks are initially in your hand, but once on the board you can still play them by displacing them.

Stairs should be laid properly as stair, or assembled with another stair so it would form a new block.

You can place blocks and stairs on top of other blocks and stairs, but no construction is allowed to be higher than the Towers, or have gaps beneath (no bridges allowed).

A piece is blocked if anything has been placed on top of it or if any King stands on it, or if it is surrounded and all vertical sides are completely covered.

A King cannot share a square with, or jump over the other King.

Your King must leave your Tower at latest during the 3rd turn. Later he can step over it but not end there.

You win if your King steps on the enemy Tower before the enemy King steps on yours.
