Where can we play live chess960? I'm sure the staff wouldn't mind if you mentioned a few sites and gave some links. I'd like to be able to play chess960 live but haven't been able to find any sites. I don't mind going elsewhere since they are not interested in putting it on chess.com.
When Will Live Chess960 Be On Chess.com?

[removed]. But I don't think this is the place to advertise other chess sites.. My point is having live chess960 on chess.com!

I will let my paid membership run out because they were not interested in the things I am interested in. One of them is live chess960. Maybe if they had it on this site I might renew. How hard is it to modify the live chess program to accomodate chess960?

Live chess960 and live chess960 tournaments are on other websites, but why not on my favorite, chess.com?
we call that "el palo y la zanahoria"

I found 3 sites that have live chess960. ICS which charges money if you want to play chess there, FICS which is free but they think they can get away with being nasty because they are free so I never play there, and lichess which is also free. If anyone knows of any otehrs please do let me know. Chess.com is a big bs site, they charge money and make promises but never actually deliver.

Oh yeah, that would be awesome. I really enjoy 960 chess and it would be great to be able to play it live!

You may not talk about what other chess have but is not on chess.com... your comment will be deleted soon..
Chesscube is another. There are youtube videos showing Chess960 being played on it. I've asked for Chess960 from Chess.com for years.
The problem with almost all the sites that I know of is white can sit there all day and think about their first 960 move without any penalty to their clock. Black can only guess what white might play and cannot plan for all contingencies and so is disadvantaged unnecessarily not only because white gets to play first, but blacks clock is the first to start ticking.
If you go to these sites, don't go hard on yourself if you loose as black. In the real world of over the board play, it is easier to ensure that whites clock starts ticking straight away because the players arrive at a blank board.

Here in blitz your clock doesnt start until your second move. they should do something similar for 960.

I like this site, and wouldn't switch (in fact I just came here from Yahoo, which has basically no options compared to chess.com), but I would really enjoy live 960 here. Sometimes I play a few live 960 games on en.lichess.org but I don't even have an account (you don't need one to play).
Live 960 games would be a great addition to chess.com
