Sub Battles are where Subs for Twitch channels(such as Chessbrahs) face subs on other channels(such as Hikaru). You can pay a certain amount of money(usually $4.99 USD) to become a Tier 1 Sub for a month.

you have to be a sub on a twitch channel, join the discord, signup, then they choose you(sometimes they dont) then you play with another twitch streamers team
If you are a sub, you get perks such as no ads, custom emotes, etc.

the 3 team sub battle has 3 games total for each board with each contestant playing 2 game apiece
