Armchair Chess

I’m creating this forum because I am curious how many other people have shared this experience. I play at a club in Michigan, and my OTB USCF rating is about 1700. I don’t really do official blitz tournaments, I mostly play blitz online and at the club for a couple bucks a game. Having established I do not purport to be a tournament player or a player with an OTB rating to be respected, I have recently become insanely frustrated with the amount of people that come to the club just to sit and talk śhît during games. These people are typically unrated, but for some reason feel an apparent need to comment on other peoples’ blitz games as they are going on in spite of the fact that they lack the *minimal* requisite effort to even achieve an OTB rating. I love chess, but I don’t really play tournaments to such an extent that I would even call myself an “experienced player”, I play blitz because I love it and on occasion to either 1) make a few bucks on it or 2) heighten the stakes a bit in an informal setting because playing for money is incentivizing and more fun and you will not convince me otherwise. Anyone else find this really füçkiñg annoying? *inb4 jokes about e-stats*
