To make this thread slightly less random and more relevant to the site: notice JKR writing of Hermione as super logical and smart - she solved the potion bottle riddle and the text even says that's pure logic- and yet somehow terrible at chess?

Wizard chess has the same rules as muggle chess, only with magically animated pieces. My only conclusion is JKR doesn't know how to play.
