Sounds like you discovered this site not long ago. New members get excited about chess, abort opening a chess club on the site, and then they ask everyone to join, whether they know those people or not.
Just don’t expect your club will get many members. People need reasons why they should join.

Oh, well I get like 1000 invites a day from random clubs.
no i just think being in a chess club is great because you can organize team matches and tournaments, but none of the clubs I found made real team matches, etc.
