IF people actually care

I would normally go into a conversation with them. It makes it easier as you gain practice

They don’t have any reason to.

You want them to provide free entertainment for your members?

Why should they?

I am sure that if you offered some of them a few dollars (>$50), at least some of them would play a simul against your members.  You won't get a grandmaster but you might get some Candidate Masters for that or even less.

They wont. I know. They are grandmasters, or proffesional chess players. Normal chess players cant entertain them.

And obviously there are many people who expect them to come to their clubs, and yes,  i even convinced some masters in my closed accoint.

LOL

If you told me that I would be even more convinced not to join

Deranged

Most masters take the game very seriously and don't mess around with fun little clubs. They're too busy learning advanced theory and preparing for their next grandmaster opponent.

If you offered them money though, I'm sure some would be interested.

Why are you wanting tiTLed people, lose points then propose to tiLTed newbies to come in your clan. Infinite potential

BTW I don't know what's a Title in chess.com

Bramblyspam

Titled players are constantly getting invites from total strangers to join clubs they've never heard of and aren't interested in. Why would they accept? My response is an instant and automatic "no". The only way I'd even consider accepting an invitation is if it came from someone I knew in real life.

The clubs I've joined are ones that interested me in some way. They might focus on an opening I like, or they might be from the area where I live, or they might have personal friends as members. Perhaps they have a reputation for regularly offering worthwhile content. Off hand, I don't think I've ever joined a club that sent me an invite. All the clubs I'm in are ones that I asked to join, and I don't expect that to change.

My advice? Don't focus on recruiting members, titled or not. Focus on offering good content instead. Figure out something that makes your club unique and worthwhile, because if there's nothing that sets your club apart from a thousand others, then why would anyone want to join?

BTW, I also give an instant, automatic "no" to friend requests from random strangers. tongue.png
