How many people do you have in yours?
For starters, invite and entertain. You could make chess matches or post chess puzzles. Next, its says "Invite members". Try inviting people in your club that you could be friend with or not.
On chat: Put questions, start a conversation. If it is a fan club, put a conversation about that celeb/team, or what its about.
