Vote Chess: Which is better to do in a lost position? Lose by resignation or lose on time?

I think it shows much more determination to lose on time than to lose by resignation. Of course, we are not trying to lose on time, but that is the point.
If you can think of a move that might work in a lost position (and have discussed it with your teammates if possible), go for it. If you just can't figure out what to play, don't vote. If you have time to look over the position or discuss it (now or later on, before the clock expires), that's okay. If you just don't know what to do, and no one suggests anything, don't vote.
If you just want to forget about the game, just don't vote. Maybe vote if there's an obvious move or write a comment asking for suggestions. But do not vote "Resign"! If you don't vote resign (and no one else does either), than the game will continue as long as just one person voted for a move. But, even if there are votes for moves, the game will end if at least 60% vote "Resign." And no one has ever won a game by resigning.
I don't know what others will think of this, but as I see it, voting "Resign" just lowers any chance of actually pulling off a win or a draw. So what if the game continues?
It should be up to the club. It’s called vote chess for a reason, and trying to dictate whether the club resigns or not (in a perfectly resignable position with zero chances) defeats the purpose.
