Good question, but i don´t know the answer.
I only know that if you have a chess engine, you can download the PGN (or was it FEN?) Help!

You can also try ChessDB. It is a freeware program, and is really quite good. I use it on my computer almost daily. You can find more information about it here: http://www.chess.com/download/view/chess-db.

This really depends on the engine, and what, if any, programs you are using with it (Winboard, BabasChess, etc.), but most newer engines can accept both .pgn AND .fen files.
Anyone knows a good software to open PGN files ?
Thank you
