I mean, too old to play with bullets. You have to use them man, not play with them.
A Chess Oscar: Why We Should Not Give Participation Awards

LOL !
I really loved my Chess Oscar!
I feel like in Oscar's Awards Cerimony, really.
Then I will repeat my acceptance speech ( I feel like doing it for billions TV viewers):
My speech for the Oscar:
Well, no time to prepare the speech, then, let's go impromptu:
"Oh, amazing! I never expected such hommage by The Academy!
Thanks to my chess opponents, who gave me the opportunity and inspiration for my great chess creation: The Brain Fry Attack!
Thanks to the Subjects of The Kingdom of Patzers, they are so nice with their King.
Thanks to the Academy, specially Nikprit, for the Oscar.
And please remember:
Let's play chess with feeling; with art - play with HEART!
No boring memorized moves! No boring ECO! Play with fun!
I AM THE KING OF PATZERS - THE FIRST, THE LAST AND THE UNIQUE!
HAILS TO THE KING!!!"

And I loved that BATGIRL WON A CHESS OSCAR!
She is lovelly, I like her. She deserves it!
I just sent a Commemorative Trophy for her.

I think due to the very high standards set by the Academy there will only be 2 winners for this season Marco.
WOW!! It makes the 2 Oscars very valuable!
I am feeling like those OSCARIZED people.
PAWN PUSHER series should figure in this site:
http://www.filmsite.org/bestpics3.html

There wouldn't be much value in it if every Tom, Dick or Bob could get one.
The title of this thread is quite incorrect. These valuable awards were not about participation per se.
They were about high quality representation, beneficial, educational, humeorous & popular with Chess.com members.
As much about initiative, uniqueness, inspiration, humility & goodness.
It is a very complex & intricate procedure with the Academy choosing only the very best of the best.
Excellent!
I think Chess Oscar is more accurate than the Oscar from Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences!!

The Chess Oscars are meant to be more like these Chess Oscars!!! But for contributions to Chess.com overall!!!
Nice, I did not know it.
Why they did not gave Chess Oscar for 2014 and 2015 yet?

I have run a search Marco - I could not find 2014 or 2015 Chess Oscar winners.
I will have another look later. I would have thought it should have gone to Magnus but I might be wrong. Unless they have stopped it!!!

There wouldn't be much value in it if every Tom, Dick or Bob could get one.

Who's the Academy?
Wait a second - you're too young to play with bullets.
I was reloading empty shell casings with bullets before you were born.
