I will apply to be a mod once I get Discord, and I will admit that I will be working on my emotions as far as keeping them to myself, and I am also active and still trying my best in chess! Well, thank all mods and staff members who helped out this website/app and on another platforms, and thank you for reading this!

I think you have to already be an existing on chess.com before you can be a mod on discord.

What do you mean by that, or rather, can you please elaborate on that?

I think he means you have to be a mod of Chess.com to be able to be a mod on Discord (you have to have an existing account), I don't know if this is true but it would make sense

That's only true in the most technical sense.

I believe 100% of our currently active discord mods were made discord mods at the same time (or technically, a couple minutes after) they became chess.com mods.

I don't have numbers, but I think the vast majority of new moderators come in with a specialty.

So if you are active in the discord and want to become a mod there, apply for that. You will go through the process of becoming a normal chess.com mod and at the same time (or very shortly thereafter) learn the discord-specific processes and rules.
