You might want to take a look over the Fair Play Policy. That will assist you in configuring your settings to only get opponents that are within the rating ranges that you want.

That should fix the problem with ratings differences. Play enough games without aborting and you should get your abort button back, in case you really need it. Though, abort too many times and you might lose it again.

Same thing happened to me.  Just upgraded membership and then got a message telling me my account may be restricted, for aborting I guess, not even sure why!
