ADD, ADHD affect on chess

My experience is that I completely cannot play speed chess at all. Cannot think about the moves in the same way as I can with more time. Rating difference of probably almost 1000 ELO from classical to blitz. Others have similar experience?

My ADHD helps me play bullet. Also, the gap between rapid and blitz will decrease as you get better. When I was 1600 rapid, I was 1100 blitz. Now, there’s only a slight difference.

I have ADHD but I can only play Rapid because I overthink my moves for Blitz and Bullet but I lose interest in my planning in Daily

I was diagnosed as a child with ADD. No H. I guess it's the opposite. ADHD is better at speed chess. I am better with more time. Interesting.

i have been playing so long that my blitz is 300 higher than rapid because I am only thinking in terms of winning tactics at the moment, plus it's that I built a very simple plan structure to attack. mostly it's flagging

ADD was changed to being lumped in with ADHD, there are just two kinds of ADHD now. I don’t believe anything such as autism,ADHD,OCD,ect has a role on your chess- just your own self, which sometimes can affect chess.

ADD and ADHD are actually the same thing, there was just a misunderstanding when scientists were originally discovering it. People with ADHD can vary with their affects but it is overall the same thing happy.png
