The site uses an ad provider and doesn’t directly approve the ads.
If you see a misbehaving one, you should report it.

Staff are currently tracking down an iOS-app based scam ad that apparently made it through the ad provider.
The problem is the full screen ads that literally prevent you from playing chess on a chess app. Right now, they hold you hostage for 5 seconds. Next month, maybe it’ll be 10 seconds. Or even 30. Making a conscious decision to prevent people from playing chess on a chess app is what is driving users and customers away. Trying to make this about inappropriate ads is disingenuous. Everyone hates the full screen ads.
