yes but the concept is bizarre, you set it up as adult so there is a sense of subject, language freedom, in your minds eye you see it as a liberating group, free from conventional shackles, but then you state a group for those not to worry about occasional swearing, sounds like the perfect group for kids to me
adults only groups/clubs/teams

well being a parent myself i know about appropriate language in front of kids and i find it unacceptable to swear in front of kids thats why i will only be inviting people i KNOW to be over 25

no Anthony i dont ... wot i want is a group where my members can feel comfortable and not have to worry about occasional swearing
I know what you mean, but it could end up being not as comfortable when people go overboard. But I guess that's a "wait and see" kind of thing.
i have already crossed that bridge ... while it may be an uncensored group there is even things i have felt necessary to deal with as its not appropriate for everyone in the group. but yes i agree it is a wait and see thing its going to be a learning curve for me and everyone in the group

Not a good idea. People should never be free to use vulgar language, or be encouraged to do so.
'Vulgar' language is only frowned upon because of people like you. If it is used intelligently, there should be no problem with it, just like any of the other words that compliment and add to the English language.
No offense Sens, but that is a very weak and strange argument to Knightly's position. If your mental lexicon is bigger than a monkey's, then you can exclude 'vulgar language' from your vocabulary and still be able to communicate on a very specific and elevated level. It seems to me like you are trying to justify the use of certain words to make sentences seem more urgent, angry, 'cool,' biting, scathing, pseudo-liberating or pseudo-rebellious.

Wait a tick. blackfirestorm - Are you the contraversial Donna that everyone knows from ChessManiac.com?

Good one, I sent it to my girlfriend.

Wait a tick. blackfirestorm - Are you the contraversial Donna that everyone knows from ChessManiac.com?
and why is that any relevance?

if your mental lexicon is bigger than a monkeys surely that would mean you embrace all forms of language

I think ANY bad language should be only used in one official group for 21 and over, and NOWHERE ELSE.
While I certainly respect the choice of blackfirestorm, I must say I'm disappointed at the overwhelming attitude that says that people under 25 (or even 21) can't be mature posters, involved in 'adult' discussions. Especially given that, you know, I am an adult.
i am so sorry that u think i am implying that u r not mature ... i dont know u. all im saying is that for me to let u in would imply that i am willing to let ANY player under 25 and well not every 19 year old is as mature as others?!
Not every ninety-year-old is as mature as others. What's your point?
didnt u read my last post???
