I doubt a developer has even seen this thread.

Over the years, they have rarely posted in the forums.

If you want to make a suggestion, I suggest you use the "Make a suggestion" link in Help.

Just did this 3 times in one game...

I 100% agree. It's extremely frustrating to have a setting that does nothing. Other chess websites have implemented this setting. I don't see why they haven't fixed this.

Just lost AGAIN because of this. It's so unintuitive.

We don't expect you to release Half Life 3. You just make it drag and move only instead of both... And it is how it says on the settings but it is not how it is ingame. You are making buch loads of money from a 1000 years old game every month and cannot even be anywhere near as good as a fully free platform like lichess.org? Chess.com is a frustration.

This "click to move feature" is infuriating beyond belief. Just lost a game because of it and at least two games yesterday. I don't like it, I don't want it, I want to have an option to disable it.

Would also like this. Implement pleeeeeeease. Or just another way than leftclick of un-selecting my recently clicked piece.

right clicking also works to cancel it but i still like the idea of drag only

I don't understand why there is a "Move method" option, but it literally does nothing because you can use either option to move. Why is this option here if it doesn't enable/disable any functionality?

It really couldn't hurt to give an option to use drag only could it? I lost 2 games to this just today.

+1, what is causing the delay here? this is ridiculous

I got a message from a nice person from the chess.com staff on this topic after creating a bug report. According to him they were really overloaded with work after all this hype started and are now finally getting to work on this issue soon. So maybe there is hope happy.png

I won't say that the site won't change the way it works  but members have been requesting this since I've been here and the option has stayed the same and has only impacted the way the piece reacts to the click.
