Analysis Boards

Like most of you I like to take a look at my games after I'm finished to attempt to learn from the. One main issue that I've had with this site is the lack of ability to analyze other moves after a game is done. In live chess it seems that one can move peices somewhat after completion of a game but it prevents moves at times and wont reset to the proper postion. Futhermore when playing Correspondence or Live one can choose an analysis board. But its excactly the same as the archive, once cant trully assess the game if you cant move peices out to see potential improvments or mistakes.

Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Oddly enough, when using the tactics trainer the analysis board does let one move peices and reset correctly.

The solution is simple, get Winboard + DeepRybka free from the downloads section of this site. Install them on  your PC and then download the game as a .pgn file and load it into Winboard. You can even have one of the strongest chess engines (GM strength) analyse your game, all for free! Another good alternative is Babas Chess. That's the one I use. It will also connect you to the Free Internet Chess Server automatically so you can play and watch games there. It will allow you to edit and annotate your game. I higly recommend it, particularly as you can install Deep Rybka for analysis.
