If Carlsen isn't already established as the best player in the world, I don't think beating Anand again would establish it more than beating Aronian would.

I would have thought the humourous intent was obvious, especially since the modified part was in bold and the original text two posts above. But please report me, the mods need a good laugh now and then.

No, I am not a comedian but I do have an open mind and know that just about anything can happen at the Candidates Tournament! Who do YOU believe will win this tournament and go on to challenge Magnus?

well it's pretty obvious to anyone who knows anything about it, that it should be Aronian. Anand is history.
I respect your quess! Personally, I believe it will be Kramnik although I will be pulling for Magnus to retain his title no matter who ends up being the challenger.

The "dark horse" candidate to watch is the current Russian Champion Peter Svidler. He is 37 years old and has been Russia's Champion 7 times. In May, 2013 his peak rating was 2769 and his current rating is 2758 as of February, 2014. Svidler has already been chosen by the FIDE to participate in the 2014 Candidates Tournament. Definitely could be the challenger for the WC.
