I know we can't keep rotten people off Chess.com, but I wish there was a way to find out who their mothers are and show them what they write. There was recently a woman who did exactly that. Anonymity is not a good when it's abused. We should be held accountable for the things we say.

No naming and shaming allowed - Mod.

Mod, I respectfully disagree! This is not an example of shaming. I am reporting someone who apparently feels their anonymity gives them freedom to harrass users with impunity. THAT is the issue. "Shaming" is a term created that covers exactly that behavior. Free speech?,,,, fine but at least let them be held accountable by the community for their speech. I don't turn off chat because I like to record everything these players write. It amuses me that they wilfuly incriminate themselves. Could top chess players verbally insult their competitors in matches and continue to play,, no. They would be ostricized by the community for their behavior. A big deterent. When you are anonymous and can create endless accounts after being "banned" for bad behavior what's the strategy?

Kids loves anarchy until it affects them. Then they want more laws. Be civil and avoid more laws.
