Anyone else frustrated with people being 400 on blitz/bullet and then end up being 1200 on rapid

I started playing more chess recently and my bullet rating is really low. I focused on 10 minute rapid games to learn and am nearing 1000. As I got more comfortable with openings and wanting to jam more games for practice, I starting playing 3/2 and it started me as a 400. I'm sure it's people playing 10 minute+ matches to learn, and once they feel competent, trying bullet and unintentionally sandbagging.
Like what others said, it's a toss up of very good 400 players, mixed in with some free wins.
you pretty much describe me. I'm 1000 rapid and 500 blitz. What I noticed while gaining from 600 to 1000 in rapid is that below 900 nobody uses their time in 15/10 and I tend to play very slow. so it's easy to beat people who don't use the time available to think. I'n blitz I get wrecked because I almost always run out of time.

this is very true for me too, I played pretty slow and I can see the disparities between blitz and rapid very clearly. I don't know why or whether it's just each individual issue, but I have seen so many cases where someone is low-rated in blitz but high-rated in rapid. You can check my account, I lost plenty of games in blitz and I'm currently rated about 1200 blitz. While on the other hand, I win plenty of games in rapid and I'm currently rated 1720 rapid. 500 elo is a significant difference in my opinion but I don't think I play that much difference between blitz and rapid.
I think it might also because I take rapid much more seriously, blitz is kinda like my way to play for fun while rapid is the one where I actually grind and tried my best to win and gain elos.

This happens to me constantly on bullet and blitz games. I'm playing someone rated 450 or something, and they seem suspiciously good. They read my attacks, appear to know counters to lines I've learned, etc. After the game I look and they're 1000-1200 level rapid players with a lot of games played.
I get that people can be at different levels on different parameters, but that kind of difference is a little ridiculous. Obviously, a 1200 doesn't play like a 400 just because they switch to blitz.
This seems to make a lot of players on that format have erroneously low ratings. It seems like there should be a maximum level of difference between your rating level on your highest format and lowest.
There could be one of two things... your opponent never used to play blitz/bullet but plays a lot of rapid and got better and improved their chess and decided to try blitz/bullet that's why it was still at 400 not some 800-1000 you'd expect, but it will soon after they win a few more games
Or
Maybe they keep a low blitz/bullet rating because they enjoy sandbagging... which is very unlikely but can easily be found out by checking out their games
Can relate. Been playing a lot of Rapid, and after some lose streaks, unable to push my Blitz rating.

i am frustrated with being 2000 in bullet and 1500 in rapid. i need my rapid to be close to bullet, or at least to my blitz (1750)

oh
like me, who hasnt played blitz here in forever
so my rating is too low
but if i were to start playing blitz
i would go to my accurate rating in no time (glicko rd)
@Ziryab not worth it, he is the king of projecting and it's just better to ignore. It took me some time to realize it but he is desperate for attention so he trolls, it's impossible for someone to be that stupid.
