Apparently Having a Life = Being Online 24/7

Alright, so I just have one question: How does anyone actually have time to exist outside of the internet? Because according to some folks, they totally have lives—but somehow, they also have the ability to spam threads non-stop and talk so much that you’d think they’re being paid per word.

At this point, it’s almost an art form. They’ll say, “Oh yeah, I totally have a life,” while simultaneously posting on every thread like their existence depends on it. And somehow, miraculously, they still have time to argue about irrelevant things, repeat the same points over and over, and flood discussions with nonsense. Must be nice to be able to exist in two dimensions at once.

And let’s talk about spam for a moment. Y’know, that thing that’s supposedly against the Terms of Service? Funny how the people who actually flood forums with meaningless posts never seem to face consequences, but somehow, if someone innocent makes a normal post, boom, punishment. Because apparently, moderation is like throwing darts blindfolded—you just hit whoever happens to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’ve seen people get reported for actual spam, excessive posts, and nonsense replies that completely derail threads. Yet nothing happens. Meanwhile, someone who says something harmless, maybe replies normally to a discussion, suddenly gets flagged. Because logic, right?

Honestly? I’m done. It’s exhausting watching this happen over and over while certain users get away with turning discussions into personal echo chambers. Maybe I should start spamming too, since that seems to be the trick to avoiding moderation.

Anyway, what do you all think? Do you see this happening, or am I just losing my mind from reading too many back-to-back forum posts? And if you say you “totally have a life,” while replying within two seconds, I’m gonna need you to explain that miracle.

You're completely right. It's just how it is. If you go to watch master games, you'll see countless spammers in the chess.com chat. It could be mostly young children who feel powerful and have too much time to spare.
