work out a rematch ... maybe ask him what his next move would've been and why, learn from eachother
Auto-Win on Time in Team Matches?

It makes good sense to disable the auto-win option for team matches. You are not playing just for yourself but the team also. In those circumstances, any opportunity to score a point is important and should not be shunned.

interesting point prawn... agree with the general sentiment that timeouts can ruin team matches, and the point should definately be forfeited if you do timeout.
on a personal note though.. I've no interest in artificially inflating my rating, and despite the monumental blunder subsequent analysis uncovered in the game in question , I was really enjoying the endgame arm wrestle and wanted the opportunity to finish it - win or lose.
meh.. cest la vie - time to move on.
I understand that for tournament games, irrespective of your "Auto-Win on Time" setting, if an opponent times out you will be automatically awarded the win. I completely agree with this rule for multi-round tourneys.
It seems though, that this is also the case for team matches - which I find really surprising. Is it so important for team matches (1 round) to finish in such a timely manner?
I've been battling away in an increasingly difficult position against an opponent who suddenly has stopped playing all of his games... the chain of timeout losses for him has now begun. With about an hour before our game was due to end, I've changed my settings to turn "Auto-Win on Time" off, hoping to play this game out to it's rightful ending. I *think* I may have been able to beat him, but I was certainly up against it.
unfortunately - it's just now timed out despite turning "Auto-Win on Time" off.
