I am offended by chess.com only allowing State flags. I am an anarchist. I would prefer the anarcho-capitalist black and gold flag. Chess.com forces me to declare as a damn statist!
My solution: allow custom flags. Let people upload the flag of their choice. Why shouldn't e.g. people from Donbass, which seceded from Ukraine in 2014, get to use their flag? Does chess.com support Ukraine's genocide of Russian speakers in Donbas?
@HogeyeBill, it's off topic, but WHY did we create the first state ? Just WHY ?
A) For Rousseau and Hobbes, we created the first state by consent, because we were better off that way.
B) If the first state was not created by consent, then it was created by force by people who had enough money to afford the military to enforce their will.

If custom flags were around then there would be inappropriate flags, We really don't need custom flags, just more options.
I never understand why we have Catalonia and Basque but not Valencia …
