This gentleman seems very nice compared to my wish now of using said Axe on his head. Am I justified in this, as I certainly have no idea what is causing his beef .. ???

Try to focus on the pleasure you had in beating him. It was a nice win.

You don't need to get mad.  Why would you? You could offer to give him some lessons, but that would be going too far...

Didn't expect this from your opponents !! I got a similar "death threat" from an American player who wished me dead and said i was using a computer and flagged me for cheating too. If they can't take a fair beating then maybe they should take up a new game like tiddlywinks !!

Isn't there a "report member" facility built into chat/messaging system? If not, there probably should be.

Maybe showcasing the game of a sore loser is the best way of discouraging the abusive comments they often leave on the winner's profile.  But only if you resist the urge to also mention the abusive message itself (to avoid the accusation that you are "naming and shaming").  Just leave the abusive message on your profile, and invite the public to view it there.  Nice win!

If you are going to breech copywrite, it would be better if the original 'artist' had a gift with words ... or perhaps his meths drinking had something to do with the prose. If this is so, his wife must be a very dissappointed woman as well!

When people accuse me of using a computer, I usually try to be helpful by reminding them that public accusations are against site policy. I give them the URL to report me though.

Admin has removed [person's name] name from my 1st posting.. saying I am naming and shaming... all I did was post his exact words, not mine, in a further area on this website. I didn't shame him.. he did a perfectly good job himself!

These people do not want help from other members, for they know the rules and disregard them. They are deliberately being provocative, trying to intimidate, or posing as tough, using the anonymity of this sight and the internet to hide behind... and they often call their targets cowards, as you can see above. If they met me in real life and saw the size of me, I assure you they would adopt a different atitude, or would soon change their mind about my cowardice..

What about the vast majority of members who are on the receiving end of such insults. If Admin disregards this sort of behaviour, then I do begrudge being sensored myself, though stooping to their level is not an option for me.

Leave the abusive message on your board, then tell others to look there.  This way you are not "naming and shaming".

And for additional effect, showcase your win against them.

Sorry for repeating myself, but I think this bears repeating as a good way to discourage obnoxious behaviour, without breaking the rules yourself.

my own gripe is that my PC keeps losing connectivity with the site and the site then brands me a cheat for aborting!!  cut us some slack, some of us just have crappy old pcs
