Hi. I joined a few days ago. A very beginner. I started at 250 ELO, moved to 400 after beating a 400 Bot. I have now beat all of the 550 Elo Bots and have started playing the 700 Bots but my ELO is still 400. Why?

Not with bots
I don't know how you increased your Elo by playing against a bot, but games against bots are unrated. In order to increase your rating, you can play against other opponents. Note that the game needs to be rated in order for your elo to change, and your elo may decrease if you lose.

justin2357 - thank you. Very helpful. I didn’t know you couldn’t increase by playing bots. Don’t know how I went from 250 to 400 because I’ve only played bots but I’ll figure out how to play people. Again thanks. - OP

400 is the lowest rating an account can start with. You've always had a 400 rating. Once you play your first rated game it will change and could go lower.

I play a game with a person daily but play bots 2 or 3 times a day and I play bots at a level to where it’s a challenge to win. When I’m winning most of the time I move to the next level bit. And remember to do your puzzles and lessons…. Lol

For some reason my blitz and rapid rating started at 300+
