Cassius Clay never found it a problem.
Being black a disproportionate amount of times in a row
Stats page showed 30 EXTRA BLACK BLITZ games and still 15 times in a row is bull---- and would never happen on other better programmed sites i played on.
Now i know it is messed up entered arena first 3 games today GOT BLACK EACH TIME up to 18 times in a row. Don't worry end of my posts going to move on to a better site but you are foolish if you think this is ok. Prefer a site where you report a problem you are not harassed and told you are foolish.
There have been a few other recent similar posts in regards to bad color allocation for arenas and those have been referred to staff. They are looking into it.

Wow. (It really was 18 in a row!)
This is such a weird bug. I am amazed that happened. I feel they should definitely give you some free diamond membership for that.
I took so long to almost reach 1200 just for ####### random pair rating got me black 23 times in a row so retarded
I can't say I have been more black than white playing games here, but I am quickly getting frustrated playing because the system keeps handing out the black pieces when I should have been white. Some times this happens three times in a row. Is this a common feature for players here?
I don't think it is fair, the player is generally at a disadvantage when playing against white. We know this is true. So if I am getting dished black more times than white in a day, I don't see how that can be fair. I don't remember once, being here, being white three times in a row. If it has happened, it must be rare because I don't remember being white three times in a row. Today, being black three times happened again and I even aborted the third game out of frustration.
Anyone else feel like they are playing black a disproportionate amount of times?
Three is normal as a maximum. It should never happen four times. It can happen in otb Swiss tournaments which are controlled by very experienced arbiters.

Hmm. I looked at your history and it said that you play blitz mostly and that you had white 289 times and black 276 times over the last 90 days.
I was unable to spot any streak where you got black 23 times in a row.
Perhaps you can provide a screenshot.
i used to hate playing black cause i dont really know how to response, then i discovered the secret ancient opening known only to a few masters of the past called the bongcloud opening, and i love playing black ever since

There I lies the difference between over the board and here.
Here, if you request a 5 0 rated game, it will pair you with the first guy that requests a rated 5 0 game that is around your rating (not sure what the max difference is), and if you both had Black the last 3 games, someone will get their 4th straight black.
Over the board is a different story. Let's say you have 64 players in the section and you are going into round 4. Two players with 1 out of 3 had WBB. Out of 16 players with 1 point, the two with WBB are the 4th and 12th highest rated, and would normally play each other. However, in this case, a switch in the pairings will be made as barring the EXTREME RARE case that it cannot be avoided, pairings of 3 of the same color in a row or a "+3" difference (like BBWBB) are avoided at all cost, so if let's say the 5 had WBW and the 13 had WBW, they would switch the 12 and 13 and 4 would get white against 13 and 12 would get White against 5.
You don't have that here because you don't have dozens of games starting precisely at 5 o'clock. You have a game starting every 2 times a player within rating range of each other requests a rated 5 0 game. So WWWWW or BBBBB, while rare, could happen. Each extra game of the same color becomes exponentially less likely. The odds of 2 in a row is about 25% - 50/50 that you are due the same color, and then another 50/50 that you don't get the due color. If you had BB, the odds of facing someone that also played BB most recently is exponentially smaller, and then take half of that likelihood as one of you WILL get White. And so each occurrence of repetition gets exponentially less likely, but never 0 chance.
Just pure bad luck I guess... Sometimes I enjoy defending as black and using brute force as white. This is why I like chess so MUCH. I do everything I can to get better and from the past 2 years I've improved from 100elo to 700elo so sometimes black is good (especially when your opponent is playing the 4 move checkmate so fun making them rage bc they played bad stratagy)
I love that Thrillerfan and Optimissed (true to themselves) just ignore the guy who reopened the topic, and instead they reply to the guy who left chess.com more than 11 years ago.
If you use "View All Stats" and look at the bottom of the page, it separates out your white and black games.
In Live games Blitz you got 51 whites versus 55 blacks.
In Live games Standard 15 whites and 12 blacks.
So overall you have played 66 whites versus 67 blacks.
The total number of games is one higher in each section, so there are two games not represented in the breakdown - a bug I guess.
6 7
Calm down. You have a total of 6 games extra as black.
Your opponents must have more of an imbalance
