great question. why not? because it is a small technical hurdle that we haven't fixed yet. not that easy to do :) other bigger things. not as simple as you think! :)

I like to send greetings on the birthdays of my friends, and, well, on my birthday, I like to receive greetings. But there is just one small problem. In "Catch 22" the computer decided that one of the guys was dead, and his protests were ignored, because, after all, you can't argue with the computer. And now the computer has decided that my birthday is December 13. I keep trying to set it to my real birthday, and each time I get over-ruled by the computer, that apparently knows better. Mom, Dad, something you're not telling me???
Speaking of birthdays, I have had a few too many to include the year, and maybe this is the problem. I set it to the real month and day, and a year that is as uninformative as possible (1901). Why not simply allow us to specify the month and day without having to specify the year, too?
