Can you change themes for chess variants?

I wanna know if you can change themes when you are making a custom position.

Good question!
If you're creating a custom position, the board theme and pieces are usually based on whatever you’ve selected in your Settings under “Board & Pieces.” You can change these, just head to:
Settings > Chessboard > Board & Piece ThemesThen refresh the custom board page, and it should apply the new look!
However, for Variants, themes can't always be customised in the same way (especially on some mobile versions or certain formats). But on the web, your regular themes should still apply unless overridden by a default variant setting.
