In the past, when you ran your cursor over a members name in the threads (and other places), it would indicate whether he was "online," presently.

Does some version of this information still hold in the new format?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Okay you are listening & I noticed the change ! (typography)

Thanks to Erik & Staff, even you Martin !! for that :):)

gambit-man

that was when you hovered over their name. now if your mouse pointer passes over it, a box of about 5 x 2 inches pops up, often getting in the way of where you try to point the mouse. you have to move away to get rid of it, and if you pass over another when trying to get back to the point on the screen where you were looking to get to in the first place, the same happens again.

sooo frustratingYell

The online indicator now appears as a small green square, either in the lower right-hand corner of their avatar, or (if the avatar is in a list of games, etc.) right next to it.

EDIT: As for the member pop-up, if the user has been online recently, it will simply show "Last Online: Today"; the old method was frequently misleading. :)

Thank you.

A bit dense.  You click on the member's name (twice) for the "close up," and then the green square appears.  It works.  Laughing

Um... where and how can I change my status? I typed a really stupid status the night before the interface change and of course now I can't find a way to edit it. Tongue out Anybody know?

I think, I´ll write this text with my favorite and most used color of mine; orange.

The reason to this action is, I have failed to use COLOR ORANGE since Chess.com exchanged from alpha to this beta-format.

The COLOR ORANGE is one of my Group KingFischer 64´s symbol´s, Kingfisher´s, color, which We have used very much. In fact, all KF-Texts had it.

Has Chess.com occupied / reserved COLOR ORANGE for only themselves ???!!!

If that´s the truth, I propose Chess.com will remove the COLOR ORANGE from the color palette.

Greetings from Finland

by Lauri Aikio.

Q: Where has orange gone ? Smile

A: Orange is available in some ( but not all ) areas of the site.

netzach

Further investigations reveal that whilst orange IS available to the chosen few. Those that are bold or brazen cannot use it ?

( a puzzle for you Lauri ) Smile
