Chocolate is too precious for cabbage.

dax00

Cabbage is too good to ruin with the taste of chocolate. I don't understand why cabbage is not a standard topping option for burgers, deli sandwiches, and the like. Lettuce sucks (except baby gem).

congrandolor

True, also Scotland. Only ghosts live there

WSama

Coleslaw has been slapped on almost every food there is out there .

WSama

😅 I suppose so. Coleslaw on cornflakes will burn a patch through your very soul, it's evil.

I object to that tone, and the visual imagery it elicits. Perhaps 'garnished' or 'topped off' would be a better phrasing: "I had a bowl of cornflakes topped off with coleslaw".

"Slapped" is way too violent. Look what happened to this guy:

"How dare you! Get away from me, you masher!"

He should've learnt the slaw defense

Is that where they chop 'em, mince them or shred them?

This has become the non-Catalonian cooking Thread.

---   Yes this thread has wandered off somewhere a bit odd. I'm reminded reading about one of the great exploring Captains of years ago ( Cook perhaps ) finding out that it was a good idea to take along a lot of Saurkraut as it was hard to get fresh veges for the crew. Saurkraut that is properly stored will keep a lot of vitamins, etc stored inside it.

Whew,  for a minute I thought you were going to use c4!

I really like sauerkraut, boiled cabbage and especially cabbage soup, but I'm a little slaw on the draw.
