Whatever happened to this? I'd love to add a "Challenge Me!" link to my blog - would be super-cool if there was some method to fast-track invite someone into a game :)

Hahaha - sorry, I know it's poor form to resurrect old threads - but I was going to post a question about whether such a thing was possible, and did the forum-decent thing of searching first to see if anyone else had thought of it before.
Conundrum so defined, I figured erik's reply carried *just* enough weight to merit the "bump".

another idea for chess.com:
a small 100x50px HTML-Button with "Challenge Me" that you can embed on your personal homepage. If friends or other people see it and click it they are directly brought to a login page of chess.com on which they have to
- enter their name
- enter their email address
- enter the frequency of the battle (1 days / 3 days / etc.)
- make their first move
- add a message
and they can click on "challenge". Then they get a activation link to their email account (so that SPAM is avoided) and off the match goes.
Similar to the way several other video Web 2.0 pages are handling their "first time users".
