chess.com 2FA?

I haven't had to do it yet, I was able to login like normal just now.
Same

When trying to log into chess.com today, it wouldn't let me log in as usual. It forced me to create 2FA (Two-Factor-Authentication) to log in. I had to do this for school and other things in the past and I hate it. The extra steps are super annoying. I just want to log in and considering how many times I check chess.com daily, I don't want to keep having to go through silly steps to log in.
Worse is that even when I click that I'm on a trusted computer, it STILL asks for 2FA Every. Single. Time. So. Bothersome. Ugh.
Does anyone else have this same 2FA to log in, or is it just me? Maybe I could deal with it more if I didn't have to do it every time I try to log in.
That is likely a bug. Last I heard 2FA wasn't going to be made available for regular members.

All right, but you say "regular" members. I'm also in chess.com beta club, another chess.com group helping chess.com with future lessons and most recently just applied for a chess.com moderator position. Do you think any of these would suddenly require 2FA?
Also, if it is just a bug, then should I contact chess.com support about it?

I shut down and restarted the computer already, but this didn't work. I still need the 2FA every time I want to log in and worse is that the checkmark box of "trusted computer" does nothing because it still asks me every single time :/

Beta wouldn't have anything to do with it. The lesson thing probably would, depending on exactly what rights are needed for it; you might ask whoever your working with about it.
As to applying for a Moderator, that would only happen if you became one and you would be told that before it happened.
Clicking the trust option should work unless you're using a private tab or clearing cookies.

Okay thanks for the information @Martin_Stahl
the beta club and the lessons thing I've been in for a long time, so it probably isn't that and if the Moderator application tells you about 2FA before (which hasn't been communicated to me on chess.com), then I think it is probably just some glitch.
As for the Trust option, yes it is super annoying that is isn't working for me. My tab isn't private and I'm not clearing any cookies. I still don't even know why I have the 2FA coming up and would much rather not have to deal with it if I don't have to. I certainly wouldn't want to deal with that annoyance every time I try logging in. It is probably a chess.com glitch/bug then, so I'll contact chess.com support if this wasn't "normal."
Thanks for the responses everyone. Hope this gets fixed for me soon

I have mentioned it to staff, but it's possible that lesson part is causing it. It will be up to staff if that's required.
