Chess.com achievements

Hi everyone, chess.com has added achievements to your profile.  I guess this is replacing the old profile points feature in v2.

Anyways, what is your opinion on the new achievements?  Does it enhance the community or your experience on chess.com?  Or is it distracting?

edit: I think this is a chess.com beta only feature.

Yeah, it is beta only, though non-beta members still are earning them from what I could see.

edit: nevermind, non-beta members just have the Welcome achievement.

Postafi, you can opt out of it in Alerts and Email settings:

The option to turn off the notifications when you earn an achievement is now available - it's in Settings --> Alerts and Email

 I'm using 3D chess pieces but i'm not getting the 3D glasses achievement, why is this happening?

 3D glasses sold separately.

What do you mean?

 I'm just joking. I don't know why you're not getting the achievement award.

I like chess.com. It is a very good game!!

If you have always been using them, switch to something else, save, then switch back.

I have 65 achievments

In your settings, set the pieces style to one of the 3-d options.  You may have to play one game with the setting to get the achievement.

I cant get it to unlock the 3D glasses achievement too.

I selected custom theme, some 3D pieces and played a game with this setup.

Introspection - "Use "My Games" database past move 5" - got to  https://www.chess.com/explorer?gameSource=own&gameType=all&color=white and click a few moves until you reach move 6.

Hindsight 20/20 - "You had 10 games analyzed!"

Juggler - "You can play 20 games at once!?"  Can be correspondence/daily games.

You need to play in Beta mode. Go to settings and then Beta. Click on "Join Beta" and then switch the pieces to 3D, play a match, and then you get the achievement. If you want to get out of Beta, you can simply go back to settings, Beta, and the click "Leave Beta".
