On the side note, I'd say, it's no brilliant nor intelligent idea, to drown oneself into long and hard studies, that'll make of you a person that know and understand very little of History, Geography, Geology, Litteracy, Biology, Economics, Politics, Religions and many other things.

Magnus Carlsen went from basically a complete beginner to 2000+ FIDE rating in just a couple of years. But then after 2000, he slowed down significantly. He's currently stuck in the 2800s and has completely stagnated.
