I gained 1000 rating point in one year

The higher you go, the harder it is to improve.

Magnus Carlsen went from basically a complete beginner to 2000+ FIDE rating in just a couple of years. But then after 2000, he slowed down significantly. He's currently stuck in the 2800s and has completely stagnated.

On the side note, I'd say, it's no brilliant nor intelligent idea, to drown oneself into long and hard studies, that'll make of you a person that know and understand very little of History, Geography, Geology, Litteracy, Biology, Economics, Politics, Religions and many other things.

It was said about Bobby Fischer, that, outside Chess, he could barely lace his shoes... Is anyone sure they want to be that?.

That's more like Mikhail Tal

Well done buddy👏 and good luck.

This is bullet so 2000 in a year is like my 1500 in 7 months we improved proportionally and saying you may be able to be 3000 in 2 years is the equivalent to becoming a GM in 2 years which is nearly impossible.

Yea, well Bobby Fischer sacrificed a lot and it was worth it. He did what he set out to do. Sure for most that's insane and not worth it but can't hold it against him.

I can't agree with this one! I think one should set a max amount of hours a week 20 I think is when experts say you get negative results because you won't comprehend all what you're reading at first about. it won't stick I wouldn't be in a hurry to learn all aspects of Chess. I guess I'm arguing both sides. Point being.

It's actually bad for your brain. 20 hours a week is what I'd say.

Any rating improvement has to be a good thing and praise worthy but deflating your rating for day one is delusional.

In the first month your rating jumps from an initial 1,000 to around 2,000 where it more or less remains for the next 11 months.

Again, I looked at your profile and there's no indication you were 1000 rated. It's like me saying the same thing and that I got to 1900-2000 in a few months, but I played chess when I was younger.

I closed my first account that's why it doesn't show . when I was in 2019 I  hardly  defeat 1000 rated opponent . through the lockdown I studied so much  that  the hike in the rating , I watched almost several chess youtuber . When the corona came I fell deep into the chess

Well done
Ishouldntbevenplayin

I feel that I am a solid 1000. I do not know board coordinates and do not study. If I keep playing every day, in 5 years I should be a solid 1400. Of course, I do play with my nose, due to CP, and I am high, all the time... lol.

BigSur95

Studying board coordinates will really help if you read any books.
