i mean like, for the gold, platinum and diamond memberships and stuff. If you dont have that, to a certain extent, determines how good you are, based on how much more is available through the memberships

Chess.com isn’t any more pay to win than lichess or any other chess website is, because it’s literally the same game. I could see an argument being made that chess is pay to win, but chess.com surely isn’t.

It’s not pay to win because you actually have to put in the effort to use those tools to learn. Pay to win would be like paying to have that info directly transported into your brain when you buy it

A person without a membership who is motivated to learn chess could become way better than an unmotivated person with a membership

All the info memberships has is free on the internet somewhere, in someway. The membership just makes it easier to find and use.
