There are much better sites for puzzles than this one.
Chess.com Puzzle Ratings - Fix the Problem

I feel like the amount of points rewarded or deducted should be based on the percentage of people who correctly solve the puzzle. This would clearly be a more accurate indicator of the puzzle's true difficulty than the current algorithms. The algorithm could be used if there hasn't been very many attempts yet.
The Chess.com puzzle ratings what always been unfair. It seems like since the release of the Tier Functions on the mobile app, it has affected the ratings more and more.
Between the puzzle ratings of 1800-2000, a puzzle rating of 1920 that has three moves, solved 2 moves and 1 with a hint, a player will lose 9 rating points (none wrong). However, a puzzle that has 4 moves, and 3 moves were solved, and 1 was wrong, the player will gain 1 rating point. If a 4 move puzzle had 3 moves right (one with hint), and 1 move wrong, the player will lose 11 points, but without the 1 hint, the player would have gain 3 points. Should a hint really cost 14 points? Does not seem just. There are a lot of other inconsistencies that clearly show that the Chess.com puzzle rating system is not about showing the accurate skill of a player's ability to solve a certain puzzle based on its difficulty compared to others solving it. Reddit is blown up with examples. It is about taking each individual puzzle and the system's ability to predict what should happen compared to what does happen. The system needs to be fixed.
Has anyone else seen these inconsistencies and unfairness in the Puzzle rating system? Any suggestions on how Chess.com should fix it?
