They looks to be a powerful analytics tool where you play out the beginning of a game on the left hand window, and view statistical information in the right hand column.

I can't seem to find any instructions on the website so I thought It would be good to start a thread here.

How to interpret the various graphs, tabs and lists?

How best to use these a learning tools?

Are there external references on how to benefit from this kind of information?

The analysis board allows you to setup a position and then make moves to see computer evaluations and lines.

There are four ways to setup a position on the analysis board:

  1. play to the position from the opening
  2. clear the board/drag pieces onto the board
  3. paste a FEN string of a game position
  4. paste a PGN of a game

The opening explorer allows you to play some opening moves. It shows for each move the win and draw percentages. A link to all master games featuring the opening is created.

Premium members can use the opening explorer to search their own games by selecting the “My Games” option.
