Why my opponent took my pawn in f4 with queen and with pawn (and gifted me queen)?
Thank you in advance
I'm certain you can find a good reply to exf4. Just think about it.

I wonder what is difference between regular, hard and extra hard puzzle in ches.com
asking it because this one was called extra hard

Update: The same story with those

Another update 15.04.2026
Two puzzles with similar solutions - first was described as "extra hard" second was "normal"

I don't see difference between those two puzzles
Puzzle in question

I don't understand what is the difference between king c4 (for chess.com wrong)
and king c3 (right)
I will get that pawn in a4 in both cases and black can not push me away so he/she can take my pawn
And a quite strange puzzle
https://www.chess.com/puzzles/problem/2009468
Why did white play giveaway chess with rook b5?
Looks like bad puzzle for me
Thank you in advance
The first one (1027638) isn't easy, as you have to calculate, and then evaluate the end position.
1. Kc4 Kc2 2. Kb4 Kd3 3. Kxa4 Kc4 is a draw.
But if you start with Kc3, black needs to make a useless move, and you win: 1. Kc3 Kc1 2. Kb4 Kc2(or Kb2) 3. Kxa4 Kc3 4. Kb5 and the pawn walks in.
This technique of pushing the enemy king out is called "shouldering".
The second puzzle (2009468) is a trap for those guys who play without thinking. There are a ton of those. Why would it be a bad puzzle? Your opponent made a horrible blunder, hanging the rook, and you need to take it to punish the blunder. It happens all the time in blitz and bullet.
On the other hand, why is it rated 1400? It's a mystery.
Simple rh7 is mate.

Puzzle in question
https://www.chess.com/puzzles/problem/1727204
I did knight e5 check which chess.com did not like
My logic
Opoments king can then not go to e6 e8 or c6 because those squares are under check
If d6 or c7 then knight f7 check and fork
So am I understand correctly that two knights for a queen is too big price in that situation?
Thank you in advance

Just count the pieces and you can answer it yourself.
