chess icon badge numbers stopped appearing

Chess icon badge numbers have been working all along since I began playing. Suddenly, they have stopped appearing. Any ideas as to why or, how to fix this?

I meant to say the chess icon on my home screen. It has stopped showing the nu.ber of games which are current.

But somehow, since I wrote my inquiry, they started appearing again! I did clean up the phone a bit...perhaps that did the trick! Thanks for your responses!!!!👍😎
